What an awesome paint job!!! The yellow is perfect. I love the asymmetrical burst. Darker on the bottom. Is that to mimic 40 years of wear from your forearm? It looks great.

Was this based off of how a new '59 would look in 1959? I am wondering why the burst doesnt continue all around the guitar.My first thought was you got it almost right in the first picture ( compared to an old '59) but that the red around the top was different, and that if you had made the whole top look like the bottom of the guitar, it would look exactly like an old '59.
According to how the real deallooks NOW, the lacquer is a little heavey, and too shiney, but again, not sure what you are trying to achieve.

No. The fade starts on the arm side. In 15 years this will have muted to almost perfection. I could do it in a week with industrial UV and lots of tape.
