larry carlton new album

Post by pamaz67 »

Hello guys.
I was listening to the new Paris concert by mr335 and i'm quite impressed with the sound quality of the guitar.
Now, I am quite close to that kind of sound with a completely different setup ( a sort of tweaked cj11 diy , an Ibanez LR10 and a 2x12 with the new g12m65 creamback)
But the desire to build at least the clean channel of an amp along the lines of that of mr335 is pushing me to ask you a little bit of infos.
I've searched over the forum and found some infos ( high plate voltage, 4th generation amp etc) but none of these infos seems to be confirmed.
Therefore if some of you have good infos on such amp, It will be very appreciated. Many thanks

Paolo

Larry's amp is known as the Ripper.

It is a HRM amp but beyond that I don't know.

Search for Ripper.

I'm sure that some of you already have tried that kind of topology (ripper) in an ods. So what are the experiences/impressions compared to the normal pre arrangements?
