Earl is on Dads side.

My Great-Great Grandad on my Momma's side Apparently Played a hot fiddle loved the Ladies and Whiskey.I have a pic of him I'll try to scan it .He looks like a rascal

Hear's a better one.He was little off on that last one.I think this was filmed the same year he died.So definatly not in his prime

OK I have become completely obsessed with this sound.I've never Heard a fiddle sound so greasy and raw.I've never seen anyone make it look so easy.He barely moves the bow compared to other fiddlers.

I've been checkin out other versions of this song and they got it all wrong

Not in his prime? I'm in awe... He can play a little, can't he? The earlier one one (Say Old Man...) reminds me of some of the clips used in the Ken Burns documentaries.
