Don't do that. It's dangerous.

Yeppers. They have no fear once they get to about 15 or so pounds. Might as well be a cougar. heh

It's unusual to see Raccoon's around here but they are known to be viscous, not the cute little guy that washes his food before eating it.

Possums and Nutria's are not uncommon to find in your backyard.

I cornered a Possum one time and it started hissing and shit at me.
Scared the hell out of me!
I poked it with a stick....

I'm intrigued by this idea of a dog toaster.

I have chickens. A small few die of old age or disease. Most die of raccoon. You ever heard of chicken wire? I stupidly thought that's what you build chicken enclosures out of. Nope. Raccoons reach right thru the holes and tear your chickens into convenient pieces and pull them out. I quickly got some 1/4" grid and put in on top of the useless chicken wire. Now the only reason my chickens die of raccoon is if I forget to lock them up at night.

The biggest ones that I have seen have been city coons.

Ive been chased around by them myself -

scarry as crap - big ass one - 4-5 foot head to back + a tail. I've lived with racs all my life -biggest yet.

I grabbed a hatchet and stayed my ground - and started swinging and yelling - luckily he saw the fire in my eyes and took off.

It should be a crime not to shoot it if you see one.

I hear they can be ok a eatin.
it really is a journey, and you just cant farm out the battle wounds

Actually they make good pets. They are very clever little critters. The ones at the campsites around here you can hand feed but you better make sure you got your shit put up good at night.Coon huntin was big around here when I was younger.People breed coondogs worth thousands. No one ate them that I no of.Despite the stereotypes Anthony Bourdain is trying to perpetuate.

Hoofed animals cannot be reckoned with, but anything with paws understands aggression, except for pitbulls who run in a pack, hyenas, and big cats. You can even make a bear blush if you have the right posture and initiative.

That guy only walked away because he had the initiative. Better be glad it wasn't rabid. Idiocy.

"Toaster" is apparently the dog's name - the owner probably thought it sounded more butch than "Fluffy".

Not so much...

Toaster is a good name for a schnauzer with a missing eye.

Crackhead Tim is a good name for a cat grabber with a missing face.
