That's it. I was the dumbass that only bid $25. The two styles that just kill me are Art Deco, and the Craftsmen Movement; Greene and Greene, Frank Loyd Wright, etc. Simple, not overly ornate like the uptight Victorian Era, but an innate ability to find elegance AND simplicity. Beauty AND functionality.

Everything that makes a legendary amp. Adequate, simple, and nothing more than what is needed. It doesn't need to be everything to everyone. Just the most incredible thing for someone.

Yeah I sold that little Champ I started this thread with (not the bigger vibrochamp) and the owner is super happy with it. I'm hoping it's my cool stuff like that puts me ahead (or separates me) from the rest of the crowd. It's completely unique, sounds great and looks really cool doing so. We'll see how the Austin crowd digs it soon enough.. Maybe I won't have to get a real job!

Looking again at that linear RF xmtr again I think it will clean up and work nicely. I'm not a big ham radio guy so if my dad doesn't mind I'm going to fix this and sell it. Should be worth at least a couple hundred to the right guy after it's in working order. If all else fails it'll make a helluva cool guitar amp. That's what I really want to do with it but honestly I can't bring myself to ruin something this cool (and useful to others).
