Greetings Lads:
I want to build my niece a dual use amp. I fugure a two stage pre with tone stack into a long tailed pair and then a pair of 6V6s. (I've got lots of suitable ron)
I'm going to put a buffered loop in there so she can plug a K&K or some other acoustic pre in to the power section and use her acoustic too.
Am I dreaming?
Any thoughts on a suitable clean 6V6 topology to start with?
Thanks in advance
Dan

Re: Acoustic Amp
Just me, but acoustic without any frequencies being reproduced above 5kHz just sounds fake to me. So maybe a switchable softdome tweeter?
Even then, I'd guess that the spikey response of the main guitar speaker is going to make things sound a bit odd.
But then I'm picky about my acoustic tone. Maybe your niece would be content with it.

Re: Acoustic Amp
Old thread here...
Dan, did this project ever go anywhere? I have a request for a dual purpose amp for a girl who gigs with a P90 Les Paul and a Taylor acoustic.
She plays the Paul clean, so no need for much gain.
A tube amp for an acoustic guitar is new ground for me, so any ideas/suggestions welcome.
Thanks,
John
