Hmmm....maybe the good old Belden 8410 that ws the standard back in the day still reigns king in performance? I looked at that Canare GS-6 mentioned about and it say 49pf/foot. I measured my 10+ foot belden and it read 400pf. And my meter usually reads higher than actual by about 15% in the pf range at least. The rubber jacket the lead is in is thicker than any i've seen with mogami or any of that. I used 8410 forever and about a year or 2 ago I found a stash of it cheap and bought a load of it.

What no Monster Cable for you?

Those college chicks just can't stay away from me & my cable. (That'll be the day!)

But when I was in college it was a different story. "The bass player always gets the chicks." Must have been that sexy slim Jazz neck. That ended when one of 'em bought it from me. "FAT PAT" I WANT MY BASS BACK! Just for the record, Fat Pat was far from fat - light and lively - and an awesome artist. She wanted to be the next Suzy Quatro. Where is she now... and that bass? From SUNY Albany @ 1975-6 if anybody has a clue please let me know.

8410 was Clapton's choice back in the day, 1970's. I'm still using a piece as my oscilloscope probe cable. Surface is cracking a little after 35 years. Its only problem was it took a long time to loosen up after being on the roll. Kept rolling up by itself until "exercised" for a couple months.

I've been using Gotham Audio here lately and have had good results. The GAC-1 is what I've been using. Comes in several colors for those who are so inclined. There is also a low cap version of the cable. The guy who distributes is Lewis Frisch. Shoot him an email and he'll send a paypal invoice. Not necessary to be a "dealer" or anything. http://www.gothamaudiousa.com/

I still have a Beldon cable I made back in the 70s. I needed a long cord, because their wasn't any wireless then. The music store at that time had a roll of this cable, and you could make your own. I made a 40f cord with switchcraft ends. Its been used and abused over many years, and still works great. I'll see if I can read the number on it. Looks like 8410.

I'm sure their are many others out there too.
