I'm trying to track down a Crate Taxi 15w battery powered amp to use at the wedding from any local sources before I decide to buy one.
Well my FB friend Clyde Richardson said he has a barely used 30w version in his studio I could buy, just might go for it.

Whatever you do, do not play Pachelbel’s Canon in D.
It seems like every wedding I have been to in the last two decades has used that piece of music.
For once I would like to attend a non traditional wedding where it is fun!

Tom, don't know if you watched the youtube link I posted earlier. It's a hilarious rant on all the songs based on that chord progression.Structo wrote:Whatever you do, do not play Pachelbel’s Canon in D.

Noel Paul Stookey's Wedding Song is a nice one. Played it for my own wedding coming up on 30 years ago. I've been requested to do it at 3 others since. 12 string if you have it.
It's a guitar amplifier. How hard can it be?
Re: What music to play at wedding?
Oh, and for a friend's wedding in Phoenix, I was short on instrumental, so I played a fingerstyle Willin'' without singing for a recessional. Most people didn't catch it, but a mutual friend of the groom remarked he'd never heard it played at a wedding before. For a long marriage you have to be willin'.

Henry Purcell's "Music for the Funeral of Queen Mary". It's got a nice slow march too it and is fitting for the occasion.
