Re: Slope resistor and effects send level?
It will increase bass frequencies and decrease treble frequencies, but by an amount much too small to be perceptible. The PI cathode should not affect the loop.67Mopar wrote:My effects 'send' signal is 'hotter' than it was prior to changing a couple of R values?
The amp I'm working on has the tone-stack positioned just before the effects-loop 'send'. Could lowering the slope resistor from 47k to 43k increase the output to the effects send? Since the signal form the tone-stack is in-series with the effects loop send, would lowering the slope-resistor not increase output to the loop send? I also increased the PI cathode resistor from 410 Ohm's to 470 Ohm's... Anyone?

And Firestorm gave such a considerate and informative answer. I don't get it.

I'm starting to warm up to this guy.
If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.

Xtian funny...the new motto is to Quote all of 67Mopar's posts in yours so he can't delete his words.
Re: Slope resistor and effects send level?
So he waits until he gets an answer then deletes his posts?
Dude you need to grow thicker skin (insulator) to hang here.
This is a great group of guys that have a great sense of humor.
In between the wisecracks is very good advice.

Re: Slope resistor and effects send level?
Thanks! I'm going to experiment with 33k slope resistor, and .01 PI couplings. The t/s bass cap is .1 which is the highest I've seen for a 2204 inspired circuit. Marshall, Bogner, Soldano use .022uf as bass and mid. I have it dialed-in nicely now, but the bass is still a bit loose sounding.Firestorm wrote:It will increase bass frequencies and decrease treble frequencies, but by an amount much too small to be perceptible. NOW you're really on to something! I would make one important suggestion you should try and that is67Mopar wrote:Thanks! I'm going to experiment with 33k slope resistor, and .01 PI couplings.
