It sounds like a great idea !
Is this one of the four bolt "laydown" types ?

Yes, it is the laydown type.
Looks just like a A0-35 output transformer but only takes that 15 watt load for about 30-40 minutes, gets a little quieter then ............"fizzle".
Hmm I thought looked robust enough ?...

I tried this treble OT with the extra winding tied off in a Hosa 56 with 6BM8s - it really didn't sound very good. I replaced it with a good A0-35 OT and it sounded great !

I will try using the extra winding feeding the power tube cathodes. I suspect one orientation will double the distortion or go into positive feed back and the other way will not.
Heavens, an unused PI input !

Thanks Steve, I think I'm starting to get it.

So, am I understanding correctly, both primaries contribute to the impedance of the OT? That is with the tertiary connected to the cathodes...and in phase with the main primary. Seems like it would add a little to the current anyway. Just curious about how it ticks.
I'm eyeballing the bass OT. Looks like 8.3k with the tertiary just taped off. It is pretty beefy! It will be easy enough to do a simple preamp and test some different setups all in the same chassis.
Now I've gotta check out this HoSo 56 (?) chopstuck mentioned...
The sickness feeds on itself yet again!
