Super Symmetric Cork Sniffers' PI
Just fooling around with Spicy SW. It runs on 12AX7/ECC83 family.
Hope someone may like it enough to give it a go.

Re: Super Symmetric Cork Sniffers' PI
You got it!
Been reading much about differential pair design the last half hour. Trying to figure best values for a circuit I've made using the 6SL7. 82K plate resistors with a supply of around 275v. I think I know what I'll do with the tail, but I don't know about the bias resistor specifically.

Yeah, I read that. Guess I can start with his values, as mine are similar, and go from there.
Interesting file you got there.

Re: Super Symmetric Cork Sniffers' PI
Can I bypass it with a B+ lift?
I looked at it for an hour but I can't read schematics. Will it work in a pedal enclosure?

Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

Pedal enclosure is good.... It's small enough that you should be able to your tongue across all the important points.Reeltarded wrote:Can I bypass it with a B+ lift?

Re: Super Symmetric Cork Sniffers' PI
I lost part of my tongue in a scalding accident. This is very good news. I iwll try it out when I get the casts off, unless you think I could assemble it without arms?
Long story.

Did any of this involve a blinding flash of blue/white light and the taste of bacon??Reeltarded wrote:I lost part of my tongue in a scalding accident. This is very good news. I iwll try it out when I get the casts off, unless you think I could assemble it without arms?

Very cool design on the paraPI Aleksander!

I had run across Aiken's info and built this LTP PI in my 5b6 project.VacuumVoodoo wrote:Have a go: LTPI with 6SL7 step by step design tutorial courtesy Mr. Randall Aiken: http://www.aikenamps.com/LongTailPairDesign.htm

Is the pope Argentinian?
Alex's design looks so odd I didn't know where to start.....I need a play by play description of how it works. V1 appears to show 350V to ground??? Where is V1? V2 is the PI input but where is V2? I don't get it at all.

Just seen this thread, thank you Aleksander!
A few questions that comes into my mind:
- why C2 is 3,3 times bigger than C1 (while load is the same)?
- why R11 is 4,3 times bigger than R10 (while miller cap seems the same)?
