i,ve tried the search engine here and have not found anything...

Not sure if this is the correct LED pilot light but they are very good quality, much better than any of the other Asian stuff I've seen. Made in Taiwan.

Lumex Part No. SSI-LXR4815SID-150. Mouser has them. They fit the CE chassis if you clean out the powdercoat paint from the inside of the hole.

Transformers would depend on which model you want to build. Mostly '80s Twin iron, except 183, Pacific Transformers. If I want a real period correct transformer I go to Ebay.

In general, for period correct parts I go to surplus houses like Surplus Sales of Nebraska, and Ebay.

Hi! I would also like some sourcing info. I'm thinking about a #124. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to afford period correct parts like the transformers but would go with quality modern parts.

I live in north-central Indiana, way out in the bloody sticks so online is about my only source for parts. (I couldn't even find a decent parts house in Indy!)

Anyway, I'd appreciate any info I can get.

You can get Orange Drops, Alpha Pots, and F&T caps from AES/CEDIST. I get KOA Speer 1/2 watt carbon film and metal film from Mouser. I use those for all the usual spots except the preamp grids where I use the 2 watt green KOA Speer carbon films. For the power section I use the KOA Speer MOS3C series where I can find the right values, Dale RS wirewounds on the PT screen grids and Dale CPF .5% MFs for the 1 ohm bias check resistors. For ceramic caps I like the Sprague 1000V X5Fs. You can get them super cheap from Newark in big lots. Mouser doesn't have all the values. I still use the TVA Atoms from Mouser for the cathodes and the bias supply. Just Xicon Electrolytics for the relay supply. As far as transformers go, I use a custom wound Heyboer PT. They aren't that much money and work great. You just need to wait a bit. I use Mercury Magnetic FTHPT-OMA OT and FC-TWIN choke. The OT is big and may require more holes to be drilled if you're not doing your own chassis. It does sound huge though.

Wow, thanks Aaron! I'm familiar with Mouser and Newark; I've used them a lot. I've also had Heyboer wind me a transformer - it was the OT on my last build and sounds Great. But maybe I'll go the extra for an MM OT for this one. I'm going to have to gather these a little at a time so I may as well get as good as I can. I just can't see paying exorbitant amounts for period parts that I may not even be able to tell sound different (old, abused ears).

So it sounds like I don't have to go hunting exotic sources for these. Good to know.
