Miles Magnetics goes beyond M6 steel, they do something like M2 with nickel steel a half inch around the core for more sophistication than is currently known, with a primary of infinity and a secondary that's a black hole...

Can I get on the waiting list?

Excellent info. And it's much appreciated. I've learned so much in just a day in this forum. It's always exciting to have the ear of guys who know what's what.

Thanks again,

Never, never, ever. I'm a quick study. :)

ToneMerc wrote: Part of the magic with a Tweed 4-10 Bassman is the power supply and the current rating of the power transfomer. Far too much attention is paid to tube rectifier "sag" and not enough attention to the PT that couldn't keep up. The transformer that Mojo sells would be great for a BF or 70's SF, but is far to heavy in the HT rating as listed. I think there are some assumptions that all Fender power transformers are the generally the same and from a vendor like Mojo, it's certainly easier to stock a few generic transformers.

What rating should I look for in the HT?

No waiting list for my Quantum Series Einstiron transformers. I make them in the future and ship them back to whatever year you needed them.

Nice! How will you deal with inflation on your prices? Can I get it for the 'old' price? Do you do payment plans, I swear, you will get the money before you ship them.

You think I am an idiot? I buy all my materials in 1946 from surplus. Sheesh.

Miles is working from Einstein's bench, using Einstein's original parts and more importantly, has Einstein's old notes. Prices vary for OTs with the black hole secondary as well as others with the white dwarf secondary.

Don't even ask about them quasars...

Tell him to put the controls on the front so we can stack those amps... we need stacks.

I am back! Your '53 goldtop was posted months ago I think in the purse show with Garlin. Were all those deleted? I could go back to October and repost it but Bob is going to call me a bitch again.

haha

I asked Fender why he did top controls. He told me originally the amps were supposed to be played with the speakers facing down but the Rockabilly guys needed more volume to keep up with the doghouse.

If all you 2ipt Bassman owners go look, I think you will see a couple new inputs.

.. you're welcome.

Hahahaha... Garlin.... Talk about penis envy. I've been bothering her on youtube. What's this about a purse show? I promise I won't call you a bitch, but I may call you for dinner.
