Can't sleep again
I must be back to normal. I can't sleep. All I can do is think about chassis and stuff.

Good news?
I'm up early as usual.

Re: Can't sleep again
I need a chassis and there are piles of expensive crap. Damned people and their stuff to think about all night.
I decided to go to work. It's nice here right now. No people.

Found it. $80 Valvestorm undrilled front 1969 style 100w Marshall chassis. Looks like the best quality vs price anywhere.
Now I can sleep for.. oh crap, I have to get up 5 minutes ago. Already there.

Re: Can't sleep again
LOL...my dog wakes me around 4 am every morning to let her out to pee. Then I can't get back to sleep unless I type in a bunch of shipping documents for orders, surf 6 gear and car forums, answer 15-20 emails, and get tired enough to go back to sleep... only to find that I now have to go to work in the shop building speakers.
At least I got 6 hours of sleep...before I pack up a tall cab in my car and drive it to Vegas at 11 am.
No rest for the wicked.

Have you tried counting the chassis's (like counting sheep)?

Try Trazodone 50mg. Works for me, and it's cheap.

Re: Can't sleep again
The best way to avoid sleepless nights for me is exercise. It never fails. I am not a fan of drugging myself with that shit pharmacuetical companies call medicine. Ten years down the road and you become a participant in sickness and a class action law suit.
Re: Can't sleep again
One of my (adult) kids tells me that the rem cycle is 90 minutes so that you will feel most rested if you get your night's sleep in multiples of 90. By that logic, 6.0 or 7.5 are ideal. 6.5 and 8.0 are not because you wake in the middle of a cycle and won't feel rested. And yes, 4.5 is better than 5, too. I don't know if it's true, but I have found that 8 is not a good number.

Re: Can't sleep again
That is an approximation - there is a spectrum of what works for different people. I don't know the SDEV of the studies but I'd guess +/- up to 15 minutes.Phil_S wrote:One of my (adult) kids tells me that the rem cycle is 90 minutes...
Let's wire up a few volunteers to see if gear heads are anywhere near "normal".
How 'bout it Miles?

Re: Can't sleep again
I am wireless! Where do you put the wire?

Re: Can't sleep again
Oh, it's more than just one wire - figure a couple dozen for a full characterization. We'll glue them all over your head and body. The fun part for researchers is pulling the glue off while you're still waking up.Reeltarded wrote:I am wireless! Where do you put the wire?
Yee haw!!!
