Whatta supreme job you did on that former pos. It appears that shoe-horning all those components hides the excellent gounding and wire layout you did. Beautiful work man. I bet that little runts a hoot.
All excellent things are as difficult as they are rare__B Spinoza

Here's a clip my Friend sent me of this amp - SM57 straight to computer no processing. Amp set for OD and PAB.

Heres a clean clip with the guitar rolled way back:

Heisthl: very good! These (and Matt's excellent clips) will be my benchmark as I tweak. (see "Need Help Tweaking OD") in discussion forum.
What guitar/pickups were used to make these clips?
thanks,

Guitar used
Guitar used in clips was an Ibanez Artcore AS73G with Gibson 57 Classic pickups. The gig replacement for my old '68 ES345. GREAT buy for this type of guitar. Black with gold hardware. Oddly enough - I play it alot more than the Gibson, even at home. I have a Strat clip of this amp that I will forward to heisthl if you would like to hear single coils. I use old school nickel wounds on my Strats which makes the wound strings a little more thumpy than chimey but, the clip will give you an idea of the amp with singles. I would spend some time on Strat clips but, the amp is in the Van this a.m. and going back to it's owner. BUMMER

Re: Guitar used
Nice looking and sounding as well. The more I hang around this forum, the more I am tempted to get something with Humbuckers on it!stelligan wrote:Guitar used in clips was an Ibanez Artcore AS73G with Gibson 57 Classic pickups.
BTW I just got reminded of a site with some amazing Dumble clips (lousy recording but the tone cuts right through anyway) on it. Here is a direct like to the page. look for the Dumble clips and listen to the Strat sample. That sound is what I am after as it suits my playing style:

Re: Total Butchery - can it be corrected
all the amp talk is great... but all I have to say is that next time you need a house/dog sitter please give me a call! When I've house sat in the past I've gotten $50 and free food for a week - a hand-built boutique amp would be nice for a change. : )
Re: Total Butchery - can it be corrected
