I just came across them gem. Always been a fan of eastern music. The tone on this is incredible:

Almost everything Derek does is incredible to me. One of the rare prodigies that actually moves me. Most of the prodigies can't move me. Derek is not just a guy with crazy technique, but he also possesses a high level thought process, creativity, and depth. I've seen him live on several occasions. It is interesting to be in the presence of someone with his level of creative flow. Plugged right into a Super Reverb and kickin' eveybodies ass with it. My Super doesn't do what his does and it's not a problem with the amp. You can either enjoy it for what it is or you can go home and throw all your music shit in the dumpster and quit. Derek ain't trifling.

I met him a few years ago at a show.I got to see Warrens setup and was shocked how simple his setup was.He even had a pc of cardboard taped to the back of the speaker cab.Stuff like we would do.Nicest guy and just so gifted of a player.I think he has taken slide guitar to a higher level. The Greg Allman band I will never get tired of.Such a tight bunch of players. But again Dereck could make anything sound great. He does not get his mojo from tons of gear he gets it from his hands and his ears.Just a simple older fender showman and even his SG was nothing crazy special. That was a great night for me I got to watch the band from the stage.Even got Warren to sign my beat up 69 firebird.Mikey :D

I really enjoy the Tedeschi Trucks band.

Even with the slightly out of tune guitar it still sounds killer.

Then you'll want to listen to the Red Rocks concert. They've been playing on cable round here.

Here's a youtube link to some, if not all, the songs:

Some good stuff there, although I prefer DTB.

+1. I like the freddie king vibe the new band has but DTB was magic.
