But the workbench disappears under a mountain of stuff.
Wish I could afford a mountain of stuff. Or had space for another bench. No problem, I'll just keep this one covered with yet another build.

It's not a problem...............I could stop

building
sniffing solder
pretending to know where the "outer foil" really is
and spending hours on ebay ................

hoarding parts, really I like sorting resistors, I enjoy it, I can stop whenever I want to..................

I went through a phase years ago where I enjoyed building low power amps in novel chassis. Bread pan, lunch box, etc.

I was in Ikea with my wife, and she looked over at me and noticed I was admiring this chrome tissue dispenser. She said "What do we need that for...oh my god... your going to build an amp in it."

Pretty sad when you can look at something and wonder what it would look like with tubes and a couple for transformers.

LOL. I haven't yet got around to using it. But here is a crappy pic. I think it was $5.

Looks doable Lefty.
Best I go to Ikea alone.
If I take my wife it will be the most expensive chassis yet.

Yeah, when you're in a thrift store going through old aluminum cookware you know you've pretty much hit rock bottom.

hey - I go down to the thrift store and get those old tin boxes for some builds - about 1$ each.

old lunchboxes are particularly cool.
it really is a journey, and you just cant farm out the battle wounds
