I have a vox style amp that has 220k's instead of 1M's in the phase inverter. Would this be to lower the gain going into the PI? What effect would this have on the amp?
thanks

Re: Phase Inverter question
If you do down with R then C is scaled to match the old response. You can drive it harder with higher R, but it's noisyish.
Do you like the sound of it as is?
I tink I know the math on this one. They scale away from each other in orders of magnitude. <rather!>
If you half the R you double the C.

Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

Re: Phase Inverter question
You could lower the 1k2 for more gank too.

Re: Phase Inverter question
Reduces hiss/noise. Feel free to replace them with 470k or 1M if you want.randalp3000 wrote:I have a vox style amp that has 220k's instead of 1M's in the phase inverter. Would this be to lower the gain going into the PI? What effect would this have on the amp?
