I've read your posts and I recommend (just my opinion...) trying a HRM style V1a/b circuit into a HRM or the non-HRM OD (your call...) into the marshall style phase inverter with a 100k nfb resistor. Use the newer style powersupply and 4xEL-34's. Speakers make or break the amps sound and response....I even like greenbacks, some versions though...:D

Have fun and please report back if you try this.

Greetings,

All I can state is that you are one SMART fellow. I mean it! That is exactly the ¨neighbourhood¨ of where I was driving to after a lot of pondering and drawing numerous schematics, layouts and reading a ton of stuff from this excellent forum from some VERY GENEROUS and knowledgeable (certainly better than me) people who participate here.

Well, I am an Audio Engineer, an EE and a guitar player, but definitely NOT an expert in valve design, I shall perhaps take liberty soon to return to this very important thread, and perhaps write a PM to one or two participants here, including ¨Jelle¨, to (hopefully?) send me a schematic/layout or something more specific ... since the above quoted description is good in general terms, but I am a bit ¨slow¨ to implement it, so a schematic and layout would be very, very helful indeed.

So far, the most specific design is D'Lite, in terms of implementation (building a working unit), but the above described model with EL34's (my tube of choice) would be closer to the stated goal - so the above quoted ¨concoction¨ by ¨Jelle¨ looks like it. It would be a pleasure to report the findings from the working unit with a promise to the forum that the RECORDING of clips with all sorts of setups, shall be of high quality.

Again, here is looking forward to some schematics/layouts with implementation of the above idea(s) - via PM. If this is asking too much, forget it ... it's OK. If it is not, well, that is much better ...

Thanks.
