If Trainwreck made a wooden 1x12 combo..

Post by jcat5503 »

What would it look like? I'm very curious!!

I want to build an Express 1x12 combo, but I'm not sure how to tell the cabinet maker to build it..

Cheers!

I really like the rough rustic surface cuts on the salvaged wood.

I almost wish the screws were rusty nails.

How did you cut the lettering?

although it has been done, I wouldnt. theres a reason ken only built heads it helps with the stability and a head is much safer for those expensive and beautiful nos tubes your going to want to put in it. just my 2 cents

Hi guys.... some nice builds as usual....
Some time ago there was a thread about tubes up vs. down. More or less by definition they will be down in a combo, ( - I don't like knobs at the floor).

Surely there will be some more heat inside the chassis and somewhat warmer tubes with'em hangin' down.... but how much does it really matter..... ?

There's an awful lot of combos out there......

Gabkit has these combo cabs.

I don't care for that style but would certainly be the easiest way to convert a regular Express, LP or Rocket to a combo.
