Vintage Price guide - 1976 Marshall JMP

Post by yalesmith »

Looking to make a deal for a 1976 Marshall 50 watt non master volume head in good shape but no idea what it is worth....Any ideas? Also, if anyone have a vintage price guide let me know what you think of it as I am not sure I want to spring the 30 bucks if it is not worth it.

Thanks,

David

Price guide? It's a boondoggle for just about everyone. I used to be a contributer to the V Bluebook. Yeah, I am that guy.

If you ask me you get a lowball sounding price, because I don't value everything as if it is the only one and most collectible at that. From my own stuff, I sold a transitional 1967 JTM 50 last. Been about 18 months or less. Great amp. Great shape. Not a burned hulk at all. Original and an 8/10 condition without cleaning. $2750.

Hard to call. If it were super nice I might pay around $1200-1400. Anything less than super nice falls off very fast.
Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

That was the exact range i thought...it was actually for a trade for my Ceriatone HRM 100 watt with Mercury Iron.
