Chet is one of my all time favorites. I've learned more from him than just about any other guitar player. My favorite stuff is when he plays with Jerry Reed, although Jerry could outplay even Chet sometimes!

Even when I was really starting to learn to fingerpick, I really gravitated towards Chet's approach of a clean alternating bass line with two or three fingers playing melody/rhythm (as opposed to the Travis style or others). It's a cool style that most people are surprised to hear, and it's great around a campfire. I don't consider myself a very good electric player, but I tend to give acoustic players a run for their money.
