Been thinking about building one of these. I have read so many mixed reviews that I don't know what to think. The general census is that the "clean" channel is fantastic, while the lead channel needs some help.
Who hear has one, built one, and can give a real explanation of the tonal characteristics of the amp. maybe some clips with a strat.
Thanks.

Re: Climax/New JoyZee
I've always wondered about this amp. It is basically a blackface clean channel (with the Texas Tea control), combined with the Express preamp as a lead channel.
Are the bad reviews the result of poor execution? Bad layout? What exactly caused the relationship between Ken and Gerald to go sour?
