Hi Guys,
i have just finished a 5f2a circuit wich i build from scratch in an Valve Junior chassis using the VJs Transformers.
I used a mix of 1N4007 and 5u4GB for the rectifier, just because i had it lying around.
I used the stock 5F2a circuit and changed nothing to date.
For the heater supply i had to build a small board with a 7805 voltage regulator supplied from the 12v winding on the PT.That worked.
So, i tried both 6V6 and 6L6 and both are working good, the 6l6 is about twice the level and i have played it for ours nonstop and---no problems.
I thought i would blow up the OT but all is fine.
Any mods suggested?

Sounds good I'll bet! If it ain't broke, don't fix it, no mods necessary. Good move to go with regulated DC on the heaters, much quieter.
