Chassis and faceplate match
Just letting people know about the $30 Weber 6MX chassis https://taweber.powweb.com/store/chassis/chord2.html
and that the Mojotone JTM 45 faceplate fits perfectly as well as the rear plate too.
Also, the Modulus JCM800 face plate fits perfectly but not the rear plate. I would imagine their JTM45 plates fit as well. These can be cut length wise to fit chassis or if your cabinet is long enough just leave them as is.
Just some options for the budget builders out there.

I used two of the 6mx chassis in my "Fiddy" 1987 builds:

Great, inexpensive option.

Re: Chassis and faceplate match
I took my Matchless Lightning build apart today so I could use the 18w transformers, besides I don't care for the Lightning circuit.
Anywho I noticed the hole pattern on the chassis and decided to try some various face plates I had hanging around and behold they fit. Since everyone on TAG has to have pictures in order to believe some one, I took two photos for proof
Glad it helped Bob.
Xitan, I remember your amp being built with the Weber chassis and figured other builders would appreciate my findings.

Re: Chassis and faceplate match
Hmm. Would these support 100 watt iron? The stock configuration seems a bit natural for a vintage Orange clone.

Yes. Good strong chassis. Check out my v3 build: https://tubeamparchive.com/viewtopic.ph ... c&start=75Bear wrote:Hmm. Would these support 100 watt iron? The stock configuration seems a bit natural for a vintage Orange clone.
I used a 100w Drake PT. Freakin' heavy!

Re: Chassis and faceplate match
A little off topic but I was wondering about these modulus chassis offerings and what shipping to the US would be like? I think the price is good..but since shipping everywhere has been going up, it may kill the deal.
