Now I'm going to go out and buy a bunch of amp parts, and then have no time to work on them. :D
Well done lefty, real pleased for you

It's funny, my mother always said I had a knack for landing on my feet when something bad happened. The truth is, I'm just real quick at getting back up when I bust my ass. :D

The other good thing that came out of it is that it made my wife and I take stock of things and realize that we're quickly moving to the next phase in our lives. Our kids are getting older and it won't be long until we're empty nesters, so we need to really start planning a bit more for the future.
It's never too late to have a happy childhood.

Though it nearly always feels real bad to lose a job -- ask around, nearly everyone has been through it but they just don't talk about it -- it is quite common to do even better at the next one. People with brains and skills don't need to be too concerned about whether they will be working. Rather, it is about whether they will find a place that's a good fit and how much they will be compensated.

Good your you Lefty! I'm very glad to hear your situation was short lived. You'll see this is all for the best. Good luck to you.

Also, it makes perfect sense to stock up on amp parts. You never know when you are going to have the time and they don't go bad sitting on the shelf, except maybe some e-caps.
