Noisy signal wire.

My run is 9 inches to, and 7 inches from the 3rd gain stage. When played at high volumes it makes a trashy cough from internal vibration. What can I do about that? (Obviously it's more about the return trip)

Open rectifier socket.

JJ GZ34s. Uhhg. So, silicon on the socket is a no brainer. What should I do to plug the socket from above? Sh It happens. I don't want It happening to me. :)

I have flashed 2 JJs in just over a month. No more, no more..

Terminal strip at tube socket with grid stopper and coaxial cable to pots.

Chinese GZ34 is pretty solid. What is the amount of filtering directly after the rectifier?

You could use a Weber Copper Cap type thing, which would plug the socket and replace the vacuum rectifier.

It's a JTM reissue. 50/50 mains-screens.

I thought about a terminal strip on both ends just to physically make the wire too short to resonate near those frequencies. Hmm damn I don't want to pull the board! Has shielded wire. I have some q/s coax but it's 75R.. Hmm might work just because it's stiffer.. good idea.

I've seen people tack runs like that down with a blob of silicone.

You need a jersey that has 01 and DA MARTINIZER across the back.

50/50 as in 100 total?

The Chinese tube is reliable at 50 total.

Alexander is gone! We took him to South Carolina and let him decide what to do with the rest of his life and his snappy attitude. :)

I bet those Gamecock fans appreciate having another Gator in their backyard :-)

I guess he stands a better chance there than Athens...

LOL at all of you!

I added a switch to take out the added stage and just making the wires shorter from that stage fixed the noisey thing. Good deal.

Please don't fret about your loss.
I'm sure AL will have a wonderful life.
Last year I was forced to take my garter snake "Snakey" & release him in the state park down the street.
My wife is terrified of snakes...
He roamed free in the back yard & every time she saw him I had to take him out into the woods & release him.
Trouble is, he would get back to the yard 5 minutes later.
Finally she says "off with his head".
So I took him down to the park for a tearful goodbye.
He was like a son to me.
Although there was that incident where he bit me.
And he pee'd on me twice.
In fact he was a nasty little so & so.
Still miss him though.
Chin up bro - time is a great healer.

Well.....+1 to most everything Martin says.
Ok, well, I'm putting my recipe for Gator Rub back in the folder then.
