After a massive learning curve in building a 5w single ended, which works but very much like an on/off switch. And then a ODS 50 from Nik at ceriatone, that has turned out to be way above my expectations, pretty much worked from the get go. I could not have done it without the knowledge and insights gained from hanging out in the Dumble section. To those that have given their time and knowledge to share there (and here for that matter) a very big thank you from me
I'm going to build a express wreck (and then a marshall18W..and then..), but I understand that they are very unforgiving, and for a novice like myself maybe too much to chew at the moment.
So I'm thinking a 5e3 build, not a kitset, make my own boards chassis, Cab etc. And do a faithfull reproduction, mods can wait untill its up and running, and be part of the learning curve, which is what this build is partly about for me.
I've scanned the net and found lots of schematics, some of the values seem to vary a bit. There's not much on chassis dimensions or cab dimensions either. If any one can give me some pointers on where to look that would be greatly appreciated
