Hey, it's my buddy's birthday. Here's Chuang Tzu, who just turned six:

You can't tell by looking but this absolutely the most vicious animal I have ever encountered.

Hey Lefty - that's got to be the ugliest dog I've seen in a good while.
He's a keeper - love him.
cbass - cute little thing - probably grow into those ears.

He's a big baby around just me and the family. He's a monster when a stranger approaches my kids.

Honestly, I think he believes they're his kids.

Pretty incredible friend, and he tries to talk, but it just comes out as grunts. But it's pretty cool knowing a being from another species has your back.

This is one of mine. Just an awful, wonderful dog. Came home from the shelter and instantly thought he owned the place. Did thousands of dollars of damage to all my exterior doors (won't bark to come in, has to scratch), can't eat dinner in peace 'cause he's all whimpery, whiney "Where's mine?" Love him to death.

If you want a dog, go to the nearest shelter and get one there.

Breaks my heart to think this one was one dog-catcher away from being euthanized.

Twins!

We love dogs!

We had four but we had to say goodbye to Lady the Dalmatian.
Never planned on owning a Dal but it was sort of a rescue after the 101 Dalmatian movie and everybody wanted one.

Our newest is Shadow.
His mom is a Shih Tzu
The other five pups were sired by a Chihuahua but we think his dad was a Jack Russel that was prowling the neighborhood because he doesn't look anything like the others.
I found out years ago that a litter can have more than one dad.

He has gotten scruffier as he ages.
He just turned two!
