Anyone know primary output impedance for 6g3? 8k or 6k6?
Looking at Hammond 1760H. http://www.hammondmfg.com/guitarLineOT.htm

Re: Brownface Deluxe
Hammond says 1750H is a replacement for Fender 125A1A, which is the PN on the Fender 6G3 schematic. It's a 6k6 primary. http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Ham ... %252b%252b 1760H is same w/ multi tap output. There is a Mag Components equivalent too, http://www.classictone.net/40-18002.html Scroll down for multi-tap and upgrade versions.

Re: Brownface Deluxe
I think what he said is, 8K or 6.6K primary resistance output transformer for 6V6GT power tubes.

Re: Brownface Deluxe
Good luck figuring out what was going on with the last of the 2X 6V6 tweeds from 1960-62 and the brown Deluxe OTs. I did a lot of searching for a 5G9 project. Seems the late 50s tweeds were 8K, BF were 6.6K, but were the early '60s 125A1A Schumachers just a version of earlier 8K Triads but with bells - who knows?
Anyone got a '60-62' amp w/a 125A1A and bored enough to map it for web posterity?
BTW I went with the BF 6K6 just cause I was bored with 8K OTs. One day I'll get the thing built and listen if I hear anything notable. Seems to me Fender went to 6.6K with fixed bias, but again who knows.
