I picked up an insurance savage Cobalt SS of which I'm thinking about cutting up and putting in a SBC for my youngest so she can do some 6.90 index 1/8 mile racing....hence the Avatar.

Here's the car that's on my Avatar, a stock Cobalt that was cutup and full tube chassis installed. It has a single turbo SBC and is setup for Outlaw 10.5 type racing.

I was checking out the power board caps on the 6G6B schematic and am confused about something with the 56K and 4700 dropping resistors.
According to the schematic the 56k is indepedent of the 4700. They are only tied to the first 20uF filter cap, then the 56k brances to another 20uF which supplies V1 and V2 preamp tubes.
I notice that TM and Larrys cap boards the 56k ties to the 4700 and next 20uF filter. I don't see how you would maintain the 410v needed for the PI plates, if the 56k feeds the 4700.
I've seen another photo that is just like both of yours.
I'm trying to draw up the power board and could use some advice, Thanks.

It's confusing because the B+ string isn't sequential aka B3 thru B5. Its actually; B4>B3>B2>B5. The screen supply B2(428V) is at the junction of the 4.7K & 56K, going in two directions with the output of the 56K feeding V1 and V2 and the output of the 4.7K feeding the PI(V4). The way that the schematic is drawn is confusing, but the key is the point "B" locations.

Finally got around to finishing my personall build. The Gomez chassis didn't fit the Marsh faceplates so I started over with fresh boards using Speer CF, Blue sozos Marsh chassis and cabinet which is Mojo built. In the meantime I had Heyboer wind me a modern higher line voltage blonde Bassman PT transformer.

I'll take a few more pics when the faceplate installed and it's in the cabinet.

Thanks Dave, also the normal channel has a pull bright and I repurposed he ground switch to toggle between power tube bias test point.
