Hi,last week i finally decited to order the Vishay/dale metal film resistors for my Dlite. The shipping costs of $22.20 were holding me back from doing that but i figured if i didn`t i would be forever wondering how the amp would sound with the Vishay/Dales in it.So i ordered a few more items that i can`t get over here to justify the 22.20 USPS global Priority costs.
Yesterday the package came and i don`t know how i did it but i managed to order the wrong 180K resistor. It is a RL20S-G-180K vishay/dale 1/2 metal film resistor!
The resistor is about half the size of an RN65D one and has coloured bands on it.I mailed mouser but they told me the only ship USPS global priority which would again cost $22.20.A VERY expensive resistor
My question is Is there anyone with a spare RN65 180K( or closest value to that)resistor who is willing to send it to me by first class mail international? As i understand that will only cost $o.90.I have paypal or can send you the money or make an international money transfer.
Thanks very much in advance,Ed

I've made the same mistake. Fortunately these sound damn good too, in fact you'd be hard pressed to hear the difference. The RN65 is the de-facto standard but not the only quality metal film that sounds good.
Hi,i put the Dales in today(with help from Michael who very generously sent me a few 180K`s)Furthermore i took all silver mica`s out and replaced them with ceramics.
I have to say that the amp sounds different. For the better.
There is this harmonically complex thing going on that i have never heard before.Beautiful!!
Notes are going very easily into harmonics.
I found that the nicest tones i got were where the right hand isn`t attacking too hard and half an ich away from the neck pickup.
Will try to record in the near future(when i figure out how to get sounds into the computer and on-line.
