But doesn't the speaker baffle (front of the cab) in an actual Twin Reverb angle-back a little from vertical in the typical Fender fashion? Your drawing shows the front of the amp oas being completely vertical.
I am trying to ascertain what the angle is at which the front of the amp (the speaker baffle board) angles-back.
Re: twin Reverb cabinet dimensions
Pula58, I have a '79 Twin cabinet in my garage. Hopefully someone else can give you the information before me for I cannot post it before tomorrow evening (too many things to do!).
BTW I understand what you mean on the front angle, so I will mod Mark's drawing if it's the case.
All the best.

The plan Mark postedcame from here http://www.diyguitarist.com/ It's a restoration, so I think it's probably accurate.
Re: twin Reverb cabinet dimensions
Martin, I just checked, I have a '74 quad reverb and a '79 twin and they are both angled. Maybe the Black Faced are straight but I don't have a cabinet for them, so I am out of a verifying sample.
Pula58, I will send you the measurements later this evening.
Cheers.

Re: twin Reverb cabinet dimensions
I measure 10 1/2" at the bottom and 9 1/2" where the amp angles back for the chassis on my 1965 Twin Reverb.
Re: twin Reverb cabinet dimensions
I get 9 5/8" at the top measurement (same 10.5" at the bottom) on my '65. Could be relative moisture, thickness of tolex, bad measuring skills on my part ...Gibsonman63 wrote:I measure 10 1/2" at the bottom and 9 1/2" where the amp angles back for the chassis on my 1965 Twin Reverb.
Re: twin Reverb cabinet dimensions
Sorry about that I only have two tall heads, no combo cabinets for Twin Reverbs to compare with.

Re: twin Reverb cabinet dimensions
Promised dimensions on red, black are on the original drawing and are confirmed to be correct.
The speakers on this '79 Twin are paralleled on the same plane as seen from the front, not at an angle as shown.
Hope this helps, if you need any more information just let me know.
All the best.

Re: twin Reverb cabinet dimensions
60s TR doesn't have a sep baffle/grill like the 79 does. The baffle and the grill are one in the same on my 1968. My 1968 had a pine enclosure with a press-board (saw dust) baffle with a masonite cut along the edge about an inch wide except at the upper right corner where there was an extra trangle of masonite. The grill cloth stretched across the masonite around the press-board edge. The cabinet had cleats and screws would go through these cleats from the back into the back of the baffle. The speakers were offset, but not as drastically as they are on that 79. When I rebuilt the cabinet I replaced the press board baffle with high end plywood use for building racks and speaker enclosures. I also put the speakers side by side. They fit fine. I have EVM12Ls in there so I imagine anything else would fit.
