Nichicon for me. Mouser has them.

Funny, but when I look-up these caps in the Mouser online catalog I see that Nichicon "general purpose" electrolytics cost more than Nichicon "audio grade" electrolytics. I would have thought audio grade would cost more..??

What is the difference between "audio grade" and "general purpose" electrolytic caps?

Yeah, I think it's because the audio grade is more popular with mouser, not so much that the audio grade is cheaper. But them again, it might be that the general grade has higher industrial temps to deal with. Anybody else?

Either way, I do like the 'Gold' series caps in audio gear and I don't have a problem using them as bypass caps. They hold up.

Snake oil in paper?
I suspect for cathode bypass, it doesn't make much of a difference in a guitar amp.

Check out the specs, one may have a higher temperature rating which would be mucho good for a tube amp.

I just checked and I don't think there are any Audio Grade axial lead caps.

Only in General Purpose caps.
