Heyco strain relief

Post by jaysg »

I used to have a few and don't recall where I got them...so where do you get them? (I see them at mouser, but it's $10 to $15 shipping for a $0.16 part.)

fwiw, my 80's Fender has a 6P3-4 (a.k.a. 1207). It looks like a 1200 would also work for steel chassis.

Well-stocked hardware stores often have them, back in the "wall of strange parts drawers" section. My local Ace has them in several sizes.

I get them from my local Ace Hardware too. I got a nice and cheap pliers for installing them off ebay (China) free shipping.

Ace is the place.

They have the best hardware selection in my town.

I couldn't get to my local ACE before it closed, but I phoned. They couldn't understand what I was looking for and 'Heyco' didn't show up on the computer. It looks like Philmore also makes them. I'll try again.

Those parts drawers are stocked by a third party; it's quite likely the Ace staff would be completely of unaware what's in them.

McMaster-Carr sells hummell brand cable grips:
Follow this link, then click on "Nylon liquid tight cord grips (nema 6)"
I use them all the time at work.
