Very good, Rob! Best of luck!
I lean towards BBCA and most of their scientific podcasts for entertainment.. I wish they would open up their radio channels for broadcast here.

Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

Rob - Have you determined that you have the Pro Reverb OT? I thought that was the burning question at the top of this thread.Rob Livesey wrote:I got a reply straight back from Bruce this time, here it is:
"I've used the exact same power transformer with a solid state version of a GZ34 rectifier and a Pro Reverb sized output tranny in a +25 watt fixed bias, Mission Crusader amp with a pair of 5881s.

Jumping in here,if amp is in a head cab the 6l6g coke bottle sound great, microphonic behavior better in head cab, will run on the 6v6 voltages sounding better than great, more like unbelievable, 19watts vs 30 for 6l6gc. Your trannys will like the older glass much better soundwise, with potential for running a bit cooler as well compared to 6l6gc. Notice the ampbuilder's experience using 5881's, that's not the mislabeled Russian stuff, no no no NO, that is old stock Tung Sol or Sylvania 5881/6l6wgb running max 22 watts, same wattage as 6l6gb, also suitable... look for blackplate from Raytheon, Sylvania in particular, RCA and GE. Amaaaaazing sounding glass not too expensive if bought gently used.

I don't have the Pro Reverb tranny.Zippy wrote:Rob - Have you determined that you have the Pro Reverb OT? I thought that was the burning question at the top of this thread.
I'm going to try some Sylvania 6L6WGB's in there, I just bought an NOS pair off ebay UK. I'll just keep an eye in the power trans for overheating.
I've run 6L6's in my 1965 Deluxe Reverb on and off for years without problems. The power tranny gets really hot even with 6V6's, but it's lasted 47 years so far.......
Cheers,
Rob.
