Coiled wire in Bruno Cow Tipper?

Does any one know what the coiled wire in the preamp section of the bruno cow tipper is/does?

It's for shielding but what I don't know.

Thanks for posting the pic. I thought it might be shielding. But, then again, I thought it might be something to affect the tone. Seems like a strange place to shield, especially since in some pics it's very short.

It looks to me as if they are trying to add a little series inductance. My guess is for stability (controlling parasitic feedback by controlling high freq response). Alot of designers recommend keeping gate wire lengths short and plate wires longer (more inductance). Inductors are high impedance at high freq, so series inductance acts similarly to capacitance to ground or capacitive NF.
