fwiw, you can`t go wrong PERIOD w/these trannies use them in my Fender HR Deluxe mods w/KILLER RESULTS, also used them in DIAZ amps when i built for them, Electric amp as well, just plain GOOD... BUT, to ME the Dual showman/bassman 100 output is well gooood...Look at Dumble SN 0124 here on forum, same output tranny. It has a really unique silky top end to it..I also use the excact same power transformer, really BIG, its dif than the twin power, and that is a VERY important thing man..:) good luck..

Funk, Thank you.
I saw Mercury's catalog, but I can't find "DO-100".
Which tranny is "DO-100"?

I'll use these tranny for Power and Choke.
Do you know better ones?

Don't use the UL taps,

I REALLY like the Mercury 2.84H Tweed Bassman Choke.

Use the PT with the LOWER voltage, you really only want about 440vdc on the plates.

If you're using one of my chassis they are drilled to fit a standard Twin Reverb OT, so you may have to add a couple holes to fit the mercury.

Ok, thanks!

Will the Bassman choke also work for 100w amps?

Greetings,

Check out these Dyna-clone OT's! Power transformers, too!

http://triodeelectronics.com/dytr.html

Note: A 17W rated Hi-Fi OT can do very well with 35 W rated guitar amp, while a 35W rated Hi-Fi OT can do very well with a 70W guitar amp.

Look at the prices (compared to Mercury)

All the best,

Sven
