files vs. discussion

Post by BobW »

Just an observation here, and I am guilty of it too. It seems that keeping the files section reserved for only files and discussions for only discussions would make this an easier board to manage and read. It has certainly grown (for the best) quite a bit since the shift from ampage. If I'm off base here then please let me know, hmmm. maybe I'm grouchy from having to work tomorrow.

Bob, I couldn't agree with you more, It would be really nice if we could even keep the discussions ABOUT the files in the discussion section.

My personal opinion/preference - I'd like the Files section to be more for reference than for, say, build pictures. If a separate forum for build pictures, etc. would be helpful, perhaps we can ask Omar to set that up. Either that, or a separate reference files (like schematics, layouts, etc.) forum.

Just my opinion.

Too many forums  . The SLOclone forum has this type of layout and I notice that folks don't really know where to post things, then some questions don't get answered because they're posted in the wrong place.

I like what Omar's done here, I wouldn't change a thing, except to follow what BobW said about discussing things here, not in the files section. :D

That's all I'm saying, I think files should be just that!

It kinda irks me when I see a new post in the files section, because I always figure it will be a new schemo, or pics of a Dumble or something.....then I find out it's just someones comment on some old PA that got converted.....

don't get me wrong, I really applaud folks efforts to make an otherwise useless amp into something really cool, I'd just rather read about it in the discussion.

maybe I shouldn't get so excited!! 8)
