Wow! The laser toasted faceplates arrived from RJ. They're awesome!

Geeze. He plays a Blues Jr and cranks out 2 great amps in a weekend. Congrats to you xtian. They look real good. It is like you absorbed several years of research and this websites generous wealth of knowledge and slam dunked it. I should check in more often.

Thanks, man.

My, how things change--the Blues Jr is my least favorite Fender!

Love the artwork too! Hilarious!

Laser toast, with cat and dog controls. Can't wait to see it done. :)

Are you finding the bright switch to be necessary on your Rocket builds?
Starting my build now and wondering if it gets much use or adds a lot of flexibility.

Thanks

I chose to use the front panel switch as a cathode bypass, because I usually like having that option on my amps.

I tried with and without the 500pF bright cap, and prefer the sound with it installed.

I think that is a very useful mod; one of the few that well deserves real estate on the front panel and a footswitch jack on the back. Switching that bypass cap in/out on the second stage provides a nice boost without really altering the fundamental tone. I'm including that feature to an upcoming Rocket/AC30 build for a fellow.

I use the bright switch DPDT center off 100pf and 500pf no 100pf on the volume pot.

I foot switch the bypass cap. The last amp I put the foot switch on the rear but I prefer it up front such as in the space after the cut pot.

She's beautiful. I would have left off the handle but I know it's easier to carry now.

But the handle is where her name is stamped: Rosetta.
