Best wishes for full recovery for your wife Tom.
Re: Need a Little Help UPDATE!
Best wishes tom. From reading/learning your posts, you seem like a nice, level headed guy. I'm sure your wife appreciates having you there for her. Take care, i hope all will be well.

Wow Tom, somehow I missed this thread over the weekend. I will keep you and your wife in my thoughts and prayers. I know somebody that had Thyroid cancer and she is still doing great. It is not an easy thing to deal with. I hope everything goes well today.

Re: Need a Little Help UPDATE!
She had the full body scan today.
The radiologist wants to take another picture tomorrow.
So another 120 mile round trip.
Should get results in a few days.
At this point we're really sure she will have to undergo another treatment of radioactive iodine.
Probably next week.
Thanks for the support guys!

Going through similar with a family member.
My Dad is getting his 24th chemo session today.
Be there, do what you can, but don't blame yourself for what you can not control. Every day is a gift.

Re: Need a Little Help UPDATE!
Well, we went up north and Diane got her radioactive Iodine (I-131).
I think it was 150 millicuries.
Now she has to stay in the bedroom for 3 1/2 days before she is safe to be around.
Good God, she swallowed the stuff and it's in her body, but she's not safe to be around?
All the things she uses like Kleenex, paper plates, etc. goes into a blue plastic bag and then it has to go out into a corner of the garage for three months before we can dispose of it.
I'm praying this will be the last treatment.
They can only give you so much of this stuff then you can't have anymore.
Thanks for continued prayers, we're not out of the woods yet.
