Thank You......

Post by C Moore »

.....for helping me with another build.
I FINALLY (after one year) got this head conversion working.
Once again, I did not make some huge mistake, or some fundamental blunder. It was just a simple matter of the input ground.
I was having a problem with hum, and I tried EVERYTHING. What fixed it was those plastic "Shoulder Washers" to isolate a Switchcraft Jack. I tried a Cliff Jack at one point, and that should have done the same thing. I must have had 2 issues at that point, or the Cliff would have worked.
Blah Blah Blah.....Long Story....and boring for you guys.
Really just wanted to give thanks, again, for all the help I get here.
It is a variation of an old Ampeg M-12.....

Very cool! (except you misspelled intensity...) oops hope that isn't a blunder there. But cool nonetheless!

Nice!

I really dig recycling old amp/radio/stereo/etc..enclosures for new builds. Great for playing mind-games with gear-heads at gigs.

Cheers,

Hah! That rocks, buddy! Very cool look! I never get too far off the beaten path, but I do love the more interesting stuff. That thing, and that awesome tool box amp someone built around here are very inspirational.

Thanks!

Kudos!

I love to see an old enclosure or cabinet stuffed with an amp that will drop jaws.

I have an old Randall solid state head, very Marshall sized, and would love to stuff my PCB Express in there. If I left they Randall nameplate on it, what kind of looks do you think I would get? I know, right?

Keep up the good work!
