I have not found a better price/quality/consistency anywhere. I just don't like to think that the people at Kleinair think I'm some aviation dork. I'm an amp dork, damnit!
that's etfe tefzel.

Mil-W-22759/16 is tin plated tefzel spec. It's not a silver plated ptfe spec.

There's no reason you should have red plague type corrosion with that wire.

Oh cool! I haven't yet, that was with the stuff from Apex. I'm not sure if it was actually corroded, but tarnished if there's a difference...

Apex has a ton of different wire options as well too.

I hate stripping wire as well. I just run 18gauge tinned bus wire and insulate it myself.

That's one way of doing it!

I'm looking for some quality PVC coated stranded wire that's not a fortune and has a high voltage rating. I'd also love if it was pre-twisted and tinned real nice (like the Mag. Comp. transformers, anyone?)

I'd really love to know you favorites!
Magnetic Components uses Atlas wire for their leads. http://atlaswirecorp.com/

I believe you need a min order of 5000 ft., but you might be able to find a distributor near you if you call Atlas.

Here is a great compact wire that you may not have seen on the radar before:
Zerohal 100G
eg: 0.5mm² / 750V / 9A

and this is one hell of a stripper:
Weidmüller STRIPAX 008-10 mm² Abisolierzange

Both really brought the enjoyment back in for me. No more fighting.
Sometimes I use silicone wire if I need to get it to sit really flat.
Best, tony

Thanks! I actually decided to just email Mag Comp, and they gave me the same info, however they gave me a link to this distributor for 100ft spools in case anyone else is intersted: http://www.weicowire.com/specpage.asp?nGroupID=97

But you know, it's not exactly cheap and has the same specs as this wire (http://www.powerwerx.com/wire-cable/str ... -1015.html), which I posted earlier. I'm almost suspicious of the price...

Heartland Electronics in St.Peters, Mo. has any color Atlas TC 18 ga for .25/ft and 20 ga for .20/ft. I only got a quote for these two. Email them for quote on the 22 ga http://www.heartlandelectronics.com/
