Hey, just curious - anyone in the Phoenix area?

Post by markmalin »

Hi Guys,

Hey, just wondering if any of you are in the Phoenix area. I live in Chandler (east valley) and am kind of stumped on some 60hz noise issues on one build. Just wondering if anyone might be able to give me a hand some time? If not, no sweat - I'm deep into another project right now, but played the amp the other day with some other musicians at the drummer's place and holy cow did it buzz.

Thanks guys :)
Mark.

I live in Chandler, a few steps and I'm in Gilbert....

Be glad to help out if I could although your best bet is chasing up one of the previously mentioned.

Yeah you live in a great amp district!

Man, I don't know how you are going to handle the heat in Arizona after living in Wisconsin.

The Spring is a good time to visit, but I don't think I could do a Summer there.

Swimming pool, misting system and beer fridge is how I stayed cool.

I lived on Warner and McQueen.

How will I handle the heat? 50 winters in WI shoveling snow! ;) LOL. We were so tired of winter we decided 50 of them were enough. I figure, so it will be hot out but it's not like those dark mornings driving to work watching my outside temp gauge dropping....-1...-5...-10...-14 and thinking "holy cow, if my car died, I would freeze to death in no time!

Seriously, I know it will be an adjustment, but I'm up for it. Glad to know I'm in such a great amp building district!

If you'd be willing, that would be great. No rush, just if you have some time. I've just never had success quieting this thing down. Love the tone, but it's a nasty buzz with Strat pickups.
Thanks!

Hey Mark, off topic, but here in SE Wisconsin we are getting the worst snow of the year today, 9+ inches are called for. Bet you miss it eh?

Not at all :) Man, we go and move to a warmer climate and back in WI it never gets cold all winter. What's up with that?! <laughs>

Enjoy the snow. It's pretty...but so is sunshine.

I left Milwaukee last September and love watching everyone complain when it gets down in the 50s here. Our forecast for the next three days is 70, 74 & 77....
