So is the #124 layout correct with the positive + towards the pot?

The eyelet on the right side of the cap goes to ground.

Some schematics show either way.

The layout is correct as that's how it should be configured, nevertheless even the king is human. The voltage is very low at that junction and obviously the incorrect polarity is indifferrent to that tant.

I found the right resistors! and made a few unconventional cap choices. Amp sounds great out of the gate, this weekend I'll bias and check voltages.

Thanks for all the support.

Looks great!!!!! Nice work on the lead dress and tidyness!

Not sure what the cap differences will sound like. I see a big blue WIMA box cap, and some NTE caps.

I know those NTE caps sound great, as they sound great in my Bassman conversion... I think we chatted about that last year, about the TR conversions... but I'm not sure if your bassman had the NTE's????

Anyway, awesome job on the build. Looking forward to hearing your results!!

The maroon caps are NTE, except for the presense which is an 1uf @ 250V IC. Truthfully the NTE look a whole lot like the Xicons.............just saying.

On the Bassman conversion I have most of the caps are the original "blue molded", I promised you pictures last year, but i haven't opened it up since.

Thanks for the compliments.

The little blue ones are the NTE 1/2 watt metals films. The big boys are piher and a 100K Bleyshlag.

Thanks to all for the compliments!!!!!!
