I love living in New Jersey!

So I decide at about 3:30pm today that i am going to take the family (minus one son who is on a trip for Youth in Government) to a hockey game. I should have known it was going to be an eventful night when the tix I bought off stub hub were minus two of the seats. Seller posted seat 3 and 4 twice. After waiting for Stub Hub customer service to correct the situation we make a mad dash for the train station to catch the last train that will get us there on time. All goes well, our team won, until the train ride home.

Here's where it gets fun. First some drunk asshole comes walking through the train starting everyone to chant "Let's go Devil's". The conductor tells him to stop and they get into some banter. Nothing too heated. guy goes on his way. Next train stop we are sitting there for a really long time. Turns out that chanter guy got thrown off for being loud.

So OK..... train gets underway again. There are 4 drunk college moron's 3 seats in front of us. They are a little loud and very stupid but nothing to make anyone say anything about. One gets up and sits across the train and one seat back. The other 3 sit a for a few until 2 of them get up and go forward to see other friends I guess. The remaining guy LEAVES HIS WALLET on the seat and moves himself to the first guys seat for some unknown reason. A few mins later along comes a kid who takes the money from the wallet in FULL view of the owner and 3 or 4 other train riders. The wallet owner now gets up and chases the kid back a few cars (It's a friggin train rolling down the tracks....WTF are you gonna run?). so the owner and the thief come back to the seat, with the thief's GF in tow now. So now the owner and the first guy are arguing with the thief and his girl. For whatever reason the owner leaves to go get his other friends and the first guy is standing there while the train is now pulling into a station. The whole train is screaming at the first guy "don't let him get off the train" but he just watches as the thief and his girl get off. So the owner and his friends jumped off and chased him down. Not sure if they got him as the train continued on!

The utter stupidity all around here is mind boggling to me! Who the F leaves their wallet on a train seat? Granted they were drunk but weren't falling down drunk! And who steals something in full view of other ppl without a way to exit? you're in a friggin tube you moron...where you gonna go?


Anyway...that's entertainment! We got dinner and a show....and a hockey game! LOL!

I lived in Jersey from 1972 through 1977. I had some good times and some bad times there. Overall, it's a wacky place ...... like any place that is over-populated.

Some guy got beaten almost to death after the winter classic in Philly. 3 guys in phlyers jerseys attacked 2 guys in penguins jerseys, nothing like a fair fight.

BTW, that has nothing to do with new jersey, and everything to do with sports.

No mass transit to speak of here. Just a toy train downtown that doesn't really go anywhere, but manages to run into a lot of cars. We do all of our foolishness with the confines of our own vehicles.

I stayed out that way around Rockaway when I was working down in Clifton once. Busy area for sure.
