Re: Peter Frampton reunites with Lost Les Paul
I saw that one. It's inspired a couple of my buddies to post ads in Craigslist trying to reunite with thier long lost instruments.
There's a Les Paul Deluxe out there somewhere I would really like to get my hands on again.

Re: Peter Frampton reunites with Lost Les Paul
I wish they would have provided better information on the guitar itself. 1954 Les Pauls weren't made with three humbuckers. So was it a modified 1954 guitar, or did they get the year wrong? The original owner gave the guitar to Frampton for free. Maybe Frampton should give it back to him now?

If you go over to the Gibson site there is some commentary on the construction, hardware, and pickups, with a post or two (aparrently) by the guy who modified it and gave it to PF: http://www.gibson.com/en-us/Lifestyle/N ... 0103-2012/

Re: Peter Frampton reunites with Lost Les Paul
I read the back story on the recovery. Interesting...there is a LONG thread at mylespaul.com. The guitar is beat to shit. I am guessing that Frampton may discover that the guitar has lost its mojo and is no longer the pearl that it once was.

Amazing story. Long lost, presumed crash burned guitar coming back from the dead... Wonder if the hair will follow?
