Then you shouldn't have any problems. Just implement the 36w Marshall preamp in front of that power amp. No real advantage to gutting it completely.

309 is a very good number for EL84's. If this is a PCB amp, you might want to remove that and put in a turret board. You should be able to make a swap without too much extra work unless the turret board doesn't fit.

Have you got a guts picture of the chassis to share? It will keep us from the need to speculate and you'll get better quality suggestions.
