Bonamassa

Post by Gibsonman63 »

My cousin posted some pics from a recent Bonamassa show on her FaceBook page. I downloaded a couple so I could post them here. Does anybody know anything about the Trainwreck in his arsenal?

That doesn't look like a reissue. It actually looks like an old school trainwreck. I say that because of the woodburning front. New ones I don't think have that done.
I wish we could have a closer look to figure out which girl it is.....

Are these old pics or did he get rid of his drummer from the Royal Albert Hall days ? That looks like an older rig of his.

Joe has really improved over the last couple of years.
His ultimate goal was to play the Albert Hall which he has now done.

I really like his guitar tones on the John Henry album.

Too bad Fender offended him a few years back over a sig model Strat because he was really good on a Strat and I miss that tone from him.
But he has really stepped up to the plate with his LP guitars and has a sig model LP now.

He is a known gear hound like many of us and it is refreshing to hear him talk about his gear and the excitement it gives him.

Guitar Squid recently did a rundown of his gear in detail and the trainwreck wasn't there then. I would imagine that he would sound great on a Liverpool.

Sounds like Joe's got Charles Daughtrys Liverpool "Cybele" on loan for the rest of his tour.

Check out these photos....warning, serious Les Paul content....I love it

Cool, if you look on you tube, people have some videos up of the concerts with the wreck in it.
Austin seemed to have the better recorded clips at the moment. Although you can also check out the ones at the huston concert.

No problem, those pictures are incredible! I've seen JB more than a few times at some great venues around Boston. Every show has been awesome. Charles Daughtry is supposed to be a great guy, he must be to lend out a burst and a wreck!

Joe can surely make a Trainwreck do what it was made to do. I had the chance to build him an Express styled amp last year and when I delivered it I got to hang out with him for a while. He is a really nice guy and extremely knowledgeable about gear. He told me the story about how he was invited to Ken's house when he was around 14 years old to try out a few amps, he played an Express, Liverpool, and Rocket but he passed on buying one because he liked the way his Fenders sounded haha, he said if only he knew then what he knows now. :)

Here is a clip of Joe playing my amp:

Very cool man, congratulations. You can really hear that musical voice in the amp. So pure!

That was demo'd through two EVM12Ls right? (one half of his split 4x12 cab)

Very kool indeed. I got a chance to talk to Joe before a Blues Fest in my area and he is so laid back and nice.

I loved his quote that day, "When I am having a bad day I just buy another guitar or amp and I feel better". :)
