What Are These Clips Called?
I'm putting in an order to McM-Carr and I'd like to add these. I got them from a salvage lot long ago and am running out. I don't know what they are called or where to get more if M-C doesn't have them. If anyone knows...

I'd call the business end where the screw goes a "speed nut" or something like that. As for the whole clip, the best I can do is "thingy." Sorry. It looks like something you'd find in an auto parts store or a body shop.
Not exactly it...on the right track though. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/access ... 17650_0_0_

Re: What Are These Clips Called?
I'm tempted to call it a Tinnerman something-or-other.
I know a Tinnerman clip has that type of "thread" if you want to call it that.
Maybe a Tinnerman wire clamp, or hold-down ...

About the business end, in the aviation business I've heard them called a lot of unprintable or ethnically offensive names, probably the least offensive was Tinnerman nuts.

The only thing worse than these is rivnuts-from a repairman's standpoint of course.

We called these speed clips. When I was in aviation everything used "Dzuz fasteners" , a quarter turn locking flathead.
Re: What Are These Clips Called?
I googled Tinnerman a lot, but didn't find these clips, bummer. They look more professional than tape, and often a much easier last minute addition in a tight chassis to plastic P-Clips. If anyone comes across these please post or PM.
I wish all the electronic salvage lots hadn't been replaced by Payless shoe stores, and the few remaining ones weren't all full of computer junk.
